Praesidian Capital was established in 2002 in New York, USA to manage dedicated funds on behalf of leading global financial institutions and ultra-high net worth individuals. As a natural step of Praesidian’s evolution, Praesidian Capital Europe was established in 2013 in London, UK to extend its investment strategy with a dedicated debt fund for the United Kingdom, German and selectively Northern Europe.
Praesidian Capital Europe partnered with the British Business Bank (BBB) and European Investment Fund (EIF), along with several leading private sector investors.
Most recently, Praesidian Capital Europe officially launched its independent sponsor model in 2020 with a focus on acquiring lower middle market businesses with strong management teams and attractive growth prospects. Through a combination of personal capital and long-standing relationships with investors, Praesidian Capital Europe is building out a portfolio of control equity deals within the lower middle market.
Our team has more than 75 years of middle-market investment experience and a successful track record of helping private businesses achieve significant growth. Praesidian Capital is made up of a unique group of creative, responsive professionals with diverse sector and operational experiences. Our professionals have delivered successful exits for over 200 deals since 1986 and are involved in all aspects of the deal life-cycle.
